Mother's Day

Mother's day morning I'm woken up to get this beautiful taped toilet paper and Kleenex box house from Aidan. Lately Aidan has almost an obsession with tape. He is taping up everything in the house I find little matchbox cars and little boats all taped up under his bed. A roll of tape is no longer safe in my home. Maybe he will be an engineer of some kind or an architect, so I don't discourage him as annoying as it is. I'm thinking to my future when he is an award winning architect and he builds me my dream house and tells everyone he has his mom to thank for letting him build tape houses. He is super proud of this strange little gift and has a really cute smile on his face when he asks me where I'm going to display this. Where does one display a taped toilet paper Kleenex box?????? On the bedroom dresser of course where only hubby and I can enjoy this strange little gift.

Cole is standing behind him with this beautiful card with coupons. It has all these symbols of things he thinks I am. He has symbols for friendship, happiness, goodness, strong, women, boys, and men. I think my favorite symbols are clear weather, drums, mountains, bears, and three years. I'm still trying to figure what those have to do with Mother's day. He put a lot of work in his card and it means a lot to me. I do plan on using these coupons that are mostly for house cleaning. Now the coupons hubby put in my card for my birthdaythat are mostly nasty sexual things are still unused in my nightstand. Those do make for a good laugh about women being from Mars and men being from Venus. Blake comes in with a homemade card after Cole. I love that they all still take the time to make these. These are the greatest gifts ever and make these people I live with not so bad after all.

Here is another homemade gift from Aidan. It's a firetruck he stole from his brother Blake and taped a dollar that he stole from me in some Kleenex. I don't feel bad at all that he stole this from Blake. Two weeks ago Aidan was showing me this black rock. He told me it was a black diamond that was worth a lot of money. At first I'm thinking this kid has a cute imagination. Then he proceeds to tell me that he was so lucky that his brother Blake sold him this very expensive rock for only twenty dollars. When I confront Blake and make him give back the twenty, Blake tells me why are you so mad mom????.....I'm a born salesman! No jerk, your a born bullshitter, there is a big difference!

This is something Aidan made for me at school. I love all the hand print stuff. I have many of these over the years and I cherish all of them.

We head out to downtown Austin for lunch. We go to Opal Divine's for lunch. This is a great little place where you can sit out on the patio and eat. The couple sitting next to us gets up and I suppose they were listening to our whole conversation, as I was listening to the whole conversation of the people sitting behind us. The people behind us were three girls smoking and drinking their ass off while talking all kinds of shit about their friends. This conversation was much more interesting than the conversation at my table that consisted of who had the best Mother's day gift and who was the best kid. So anyway this really nice guy stops and says you have a beautiful family. How sweet is that........he should see us on a bad day, don't think he would think it was so beautiful. The funny thing about this is when he walks away Cole says "hey Dad ya know your lucky that we let you in this family". Hubby is like WHAT???? We realize while talking to Cole that he thinks a women gets pregnant by the act of God putting the child in the belly verses the OMG,OMG..way! This is the same kid that came around the corner not so along when I was getting out of the shower and yelled what happened to your wiener! Talking to Cole a little longer he thinks a women gets pregnant and then decides who would be a good Daddy for their kids. He thinks he is not blood related at all to hubby. I'm ok with this at his age because I really don't want to go through the birds and the bee's with a 3rd grader especially one who thinks everyone has wiener. Like I have said before in some cases "ignorance is bliss", this is one of them. So we breeze over all this with a little chuckle. These people I live with are not half bad on Mother's day. I brainwashed them into to thinking they were not allowed to fight on Mother's day which made for a peaceful non referee kind of day.

BLAST FROM THE PAST
I can't help but remember another funny story that happened a few years back. I was going through old photos and came across a photo of me pregnant with Aidan. I call Aidan over to show him the picture and tell him this is me pregnant with you. He looks at the picture gets a very strange look on his face and says......"why did you swallow me mommy????" Cole who is standing there says "hey silly God put you in her belly she didn't eat you!" I love these people I live with and they make me laugh way more than they make me crazy! Happy Mother's day everyone.

Something smells fishy

My day started out getting kids out the door for school. Then of course back to sleep for me. I get up and do some yoga, I've done really good this week with yoga. There was only one day that my evil twin would not let me off the couch to do it. Doorbell rings around two O'clock. I peek out the window but I don't see a car. I should know better than to open the door during the day. I think it may be a neighbor so against my better judgement I open it.It's not a neighbor but an over animated, clothes clashing, black socks with sandals salesman. I'm usually am pretty quick on my feet with these people and tell them I'm just the house sitter. This guy throws me off my game when he dropped hubby's name and said something about where hubby worked. He asks me if I have 5 minutes. He ends up at my kitchen table with boxes full of frozen fish. He talks super fast and makes crazy faces while showing all his loot. He starts to tell me how he loves dogs and he has five of them. Then he says he even sleeps with his dogs. I say.......that's sweet lots of people sleep with their dogs. In his over animated way he tells me......my dogs don't sleep with me I sleep with them! Now I can't get out of my head this sales guy (who kind of reminds me of a combo of Mango from "SNL" and Jim Carrey in "the cable guy") curled up in a dog bed with dogs all around him. I started to get a little freaked out by the guy so I grab my phone off the table and start trying to scroll for the phone ringing application under the table. This is something my kids put on my phone that you press and your phone rings. The kids have put about 100 things on my phone so I'm having a hard time trying to find it while also trying to listen to fish man. Fish guy calls me out and asks me if I'm texting. I give up on the phone thing and listen to the rest of this guys garbage. Finally I'm sick as shit of looking at frozen fish so I ask him how much per box. My plan is to buy one box and get rid of fish man. OHHHH NOOOOO, you can't just buy one box you have to buy six boxes. He shoots me a price of 190 dollars. Though I am not the type of girl who asks permission to spend money I tell the fish man I will have to check with hubby. He completely ignores me and asks me if he could start packing this fish in my freezer. I tell him again I will have to check with hubby. He says "Do you really need permission to buy groceries?" This just rubs me the wrong way especially since 5 minutes has turned into 40. I politely tell him yes, I need to get permission to spend 200 dollars. This is hard for me since I would rather chew on glass than say I need permission to buy something! I would much rather say take your over priced fish that your selling out of a truck and shove it up your ass. I do not let my evil twin out of the box. I will no longer be answering the door in the day time. I pick up the little guys from school and they want to go to the pool. Even though I don't feel like going I suit up. We get there and Cole spends a hour walking around pouting since none of his friends were there.

Aidan jumps right in and starts swimming laps. I wish I had this guys stamina.

Remember when you could go to the pool in a hot little bikini????? Those days are gone for me! Remember the freshman 40????? Same thing happens when you hit 40. Now 40 pounds is a bit of a exaggeration but 10 is not. Now when I go to the pool I secretly wish that we had the same traditions as the Muslims where I could walk around with just my eyes popping out. I also wish now that I hadn't bathed myself in baby oil and laid out on black top driveways in my earlier young and dumb years. Now instead of babyoil I have been known to drench my face in cooking oil to try to soften the lines. I saw on Dr. Oz that women from another country have young looking skin because from the time they are children they put cooking oil on their face and hands. One time I was on the couch and hubby say's "why is your face so shiny?" I tell him it's cooking oil and he's like "what the hell is wrong with you?"Damn and I hate to say but my Mom knew what she was talking about when it came to sunscreen. I am now wishing I would have listened! Now I have to cake on sunscreen so I don't cause anymore sun damage. I have to where big sunglasses so no more crows take up space on my face. I guess there is something to that saying "Mother knows best".

After the pool we head to Aidan's end of the year soccer party. The kids play a game against the parents. I am camera girl so I get out of the game to take pictures.

I take a ton of pictures but I find my camera is almost like a magnet I can't control. It keeps trying to take pictures of these guys!

That is hubby and yes he is playing soccer barefoot!

We end the night at Waterloo ice house where the kids get there trophies. As sad as I am that soccer season has come to an end, I am even more happy that it has ended. This for me means less time in the car with these people I live with going back and fourth to practices five nights a week. It also means Saturdays at the pool instead of running back and forth to three soccer games! The best part about it is it means Saturday's are now sleep in days! Somewhat of the constant craziness with these people I live with has come to end.

Battle of the sexes

I had another successful photo shoot last night. This was for one of my really good friends so I had her take a few pictures of my family since Mothers Day is Sunday.

I look at this picture and I think....Damn my oldest is almost as tall as me. Now in reality that is not saying much since I'm pretty short!

Here I am with these boys that will hopefully take care of me in my elder years out of guilt.

As much as I complain about these guys on this blog they are my world. I love them more than I ever thought possible. All I want for them is to be happy, healthy, and wealthy.

Oh my gosh, I look at this photo and think one thing.......I'm in for it! These guys are going to be teenagers soon. I now hate that saying "paying for your raising"!

This only thing missing from this picture is a little girl. Just kidding really!

My friend Ashley and her beautiful family! We had so much fun on our double family photo shoot.Recap of the day. My day started out getting the kids up for school, dressed, and fed. I now have to drive them in the morning since my neighbor who did mornings moved. I'm used to being able to kiss them goodbye and go back to bed. I drive them and try to go back to bed and realize it is much harder after you have been up for awhile. I go upstairs to the Vegas type room to try to sleep. After tossing and turning for at least an hour I fall asleep. I'm woken up by someone who sounds like they are downstairs. I jump up an realize it is hubby. He rarely comes home during the day. I quickly get up and grab the sheets that yes I just washed yesterday off Aidan's bed but since he had a bloody nose last night I have to re wash them. Dog chasing my tail as usual. Hubby says.....are you just getting up?? No, I'm getting the sheets off the bed to re wash them. I don't think he buys my story but he gives me a get out of jail free card. Hubby works from home for a while and as much as I don't want to I do alittle yoga. I'm really trying to stick with this and I do feel a certain energy after. Hubby kind of gets mad at me for leaving my car unlocked. I say what's the big deal??? He says hello.......someone can get into our house with the garage door opener! As much as I hate to admit he is right....he is right! I pick up the little guys from school and we head out for new shoes. I don't get why but my kids can't seem to keep shoes for more than six months. They blow holes in the toes constantly. On our way I almost turn the car around twice because of the fighting going on between the two of them. We get to Academy sports store and these two remind me of women. They go back and forth between so many shoes till they pick a pair. Wouldn't you know the pair Cole picks they don't have his size. We go to plan B for Cole and he picks out another. Aidan is the worst he is going back and forth between five different pairs of shoes. I don't know where he gets this annoying trait because I happen to be a super fast shopper. I'm getting frustrated waiting for him he is only seven and this shoe crap shouldn't be this big of a deal. After we leave the store and they go back to their normal bitching at each other I find myself saying yet another thing I swore I would never say. I yell and I do mean yell...." you people make it no fun to do nice things for you because you are never nice to me" We head back to the house since we have to get Blake to a choir concert. After the concert I notice Blake's phone is buzzing like crazy. I ask him who is texing him like mad. He tells me it doesn't matter. Really have we hit the teenage years this quick???? He gives me that nasty teenage like response. I'm getting the little guys ready for bed and rubbing their backs, after I go back into Blake's room and ask him if he has a new girlfriend or something. He tells me he really doesn't want to talk to me about it. This pretty much kills me since this is the kid who tells me everything. Cole is spying around the corner and tells me when he is in six grade he is going to tell me everything. As much as I love to hear this I'm still freaking about Blake. I tell him I thought we were close, why wouldn't you tell me? He tells me I freaked out the last time he was "dating" someone. What?....I was just trying to guide you in the right way to break up with someone you have never been on a date with. This is killing me I want to know. He comes down for a glass of water and I ask again. He tells me if I buy him a paint gun he will tell me. I say no thanks and tell the ingrate to go to bed! This makes me angry since this past year I have pretty much become an ATM machine to this kid with all the movies with friends, driving him everywhere, and paintball crap. I wonder if it is ever enough, are kids ever happy these days???? There I go saying that adult like stuff again. Blake goes to bed and I sneak upstairs to check his phone. ERASED! This is a first for this I check his phone every other day I have never seen the messages cleared. That little shit! Here we go into the years of you love your children but you may not like them for a while. A certain person I live with better watch his ass because I can get a print out of his messages from the phone company if those messages are ERASED again! These people I live with may think they are smarter than me but they are not.

MS walk

My family walked in the MS walk for me in Chicago on Sunday. My sister Kelly raised over 1000 dollars. My Dad also raised over 1000. It meant the world to me that they did this in my honor. I have the best family ever. Here is my sister, her daughter, and her husband.

Here are some great friends of our family Andy and Debbie. Debbie has had MS since I have known her. She is really brave and has been a big help to me since I got diagnosed. She is affected much more than me by this crummy disease and always has a smile on her face. She truly amazes me. I would love for someone to find something to reverse this so she could get her life back to normal.

Here is my Dad with Andy, Debbie's husband and his friend Larry. These three guys have been raising money for MS for years. Who would have thought that I would have gotten this.

My mom, Jeanie, Buzz, Larry, my dad, Kelly, and Ella.

Here is the team for Debbie. I got diagnosed with MS in September of 2006. I had been to the doctor a few times telling him I just didn't feel right. The first few times they chalked it up as stress related from raising three small boys. He put me on an anxiety medication in August. I thought I was having a reaction to the anxiety meds when I got so sick I couldn't pick my head up. I had very strange sensations running through my body, hot, cold, and tingling. I was in bed for three days with hot flashes, cold sweats, dizziness, and just didn't feel right. I had been feeling numb in my toes and would get strange sensations in my spine. I had become very sensitive to heat, sound, and smell. I would get nauseated more often than not. The biggest thing I noticed was my right side did not feel right at all. I went back to the doctor and explained all this. I could tell by his reaction that he was worried. He sent me in for an MRI, this scared the shit out of me since I'm claustrophobic. I remember trying to read the person who was doing the MRI to see if they were acting strange or if they saw something. I asked her if she saw anything and she told me she couldn't tell me. This freaked me out, I thought if there was nothing she would have said. I had to wait five days to find out everything. So many crazy thoughts were going through me head. I will never forget when the Doctors office called and the nurse said hold on the Doctor needs to talk to you. I knew it was something since all the test I have ever done in my life the nurse has always been able to tell me the test came back fine. I waited for the doctor to come to phone with crazy thoughts racing through my head. He got on the phone and said you don't have a brain tumor which is what I thought I was testing you for but you do have a lot of lesions on your brain. Lesions?????? What is this???? He told me he was 99 percent sure it was MS but he wanted me to see a Nero surgeon. I was numb at best. At one point he asked if I was ok, I was home alone with three boys at the time. I managed to say yes I'm ok. We hung up the phone and I called my mom. I went into the closet to get away from the kids because I didn't want to scare them since I knew I was about to break down. My mom started crying right away as did I. She told me everything would be ok. I hung up the phone with her and called hubby who had just quit his job to take on something else. Men never take things good that they can't fix. Hubby came home and his mom came over shortly after. I remember his mom giving me a huge hug and telling me she wished she could take this from me. You know there are certain times in your life when you know someone means what their saying, this was one of them. Hubby went back to his job since they have always been so good to us. I called the neurologist and couldn't get in for a month. During this month I "googled" MS, big mistake. I spent the next month freaked out that I was going to lose my eyesight or my legs any day. I didn't sleep, eat, or do anything for a month. I dropped twenty pounds, I woke up with nausea about every hour on the hour. This was one tough time in my life. I finally got in with the neurologist and he sent me in for a bunch of more test including another MRI. The testing took about another month. After the test came back he was 99 percent sure it was MS.
The only medications for this disease were injectables. I did not like the sound of that at all. My body has always been sensitive to medication anyway. He put me on a daily injection. I hated this I always dreaded giving myself a shot. One month after starting these injections hubby got transferred to Austin. He had one week to be there. I didn't want to go at all, we had no family or friends there and I was unsure of what I would be facing with this. He moved at the end of February. I stayed behind till the end of May so the kids could finish out the school year. I would drive to Austin on the weekends to house hunt. After we bought a place I was driving to the house to paint for the weekend. I started feeling strange while driving nothing looked right and my body felt numb. I felt as if I was on a boat. I rolled down the windows to try and get some fresh air. Every time I went up hill or down it felt like I was on roller coaster. The best way I can describe it is it was as if everything was exaggerated. The next morning I called the doctor he told me this was common with MS when your overtired or stressed. Damn of course I'm tired and stressed my world was turned upside down, we are moving, and I'm pretty much a single mom till we move. After being on the medication for a few months I had a bad reaction to it. Right after I did it my face got red and hot, I had a grandma hot flash, and my ears were making this whaaa whaaaa noise. The reaction only last 15 minutes but it was scary. The doctor kept me on the medication and said there was a good chance that would not happen again. A few more months went by and every time I did the injection I feared that reaction. I got another bad reaction but it was alittle worst than the last one. The doctor still kept me on the stuff, it took me a week to have the courage to do another injection. I was ok again for a few more months. When I had a third reaction this was as bad as the first two, I had all the same symptoms as the last time but now I could not pick my head up. I crawled to the bathroom throw up and wet my pants. The whaaa whaaaa in my ears was painful and it felt like my body was a fire. This lasted about 20 minutes and I really thought I was dying. That night my body shook all night. I think it was a combo of the reaction and my nerves. The doctor took me off the medication finally. He wanted me to go on another injection, I just couldn't do it. The one I was on that I reacted so bad to was supposed to be the least invasive of the medications. This is just one reason that it is so important to raise money for MS. They are working towards an oral medication for this disease now.
I don't usually talk about having MS. Today I'm still not taking any medications. I have been lucky because my lesions have not grown any in the last few years. I have to get more sleep than most people because MS causes a lot of fatigue. When you have MS people sometimes think it's not that bad because you don't look sick. I still have the 15 lesions on my brain that cause me problems on a daily basis. What people don't know about me is that sometimes everything goes sideways to me and the room seems to slant. This used to send me in a panic attack but I have gotten more used to it. I still get heat sensitive and get nauseated. I'm dizzy a lot, and my balance is slightly off. Smells and lights sometimes bother me. The body hurts on the right side almost always. My speech slurs at times and my bed spins without drinking. I'm super clumsy, my mind has a hard time concentrating. I wake up and get a squeezing sensation in my body sometimes at night. I have had mini seizures. I can't stand for long because my legs start to get wobbly. When I wake up I'm always numb up to my knees and sometimes in my hands. I have to sometimes think about moving a body part because my brain does not function the way it should, doctors describe that as a short in the brain from the lesions. So even though I don't look sick I fight daily with these symptoms. This is another reason it's important to donate to MS. Right now there is nothing that can reverse or shrink the lesions that are already there. Like I said I hate talking about this and I don't usually, I just want the people who walked and donated for me to know that it means a lot and it is important. Thank you to everyone who had a part in that day.
Sorry for the downer post. Don't feel sorry for me I'm thankful everyday that it is me and not my kids with this. Of course I have days where I feel sorry for myself but their are so many people who have it worst off then me. We will all eventually have to face something bad in our lives. It's how we deal with it that counts. I try to keep a positive attitude about it. If my lesions start to grow I will have to go back on medication. I'm praying when that happens the oral medication will be ready. I wish sometimes I didn't know I had this since "ignorance is bliss", I probably have made it worst at times by panicking. When you have MS you don't really like to think to your future. You fear everything since this disease can eventually affect every aspect of your body and make you totally handicap. I wrote this to bring some more awareness to the disease. Thanks again for everyone who supports MS. I will close this with I'm so lucky because my sister Kelly is my best friend.

Call me a chauffer

Today I woke up and hubby told me he was going to the lake and taking my youngest boys with him. Hell yeah, a day of mindless TV with no one calling my name. They head off to the lake and I settle in for a little "How Stella got her grove back". I'm about 10 minutes into this movie when Blake asks me if I can drive him and his friend to the paintball course. So I hit record on the movie and I head out to the paintball place. I get home to finish watching my movie and I can't get enough of hot Taye Diggs! WOW, he is smoking hot. Though the movie is totally unrealistic it is a nice fantasy. I head back out the paintball place to pick up Blake for his guitar lesson. After I get him he asks me if I can run him and his friend back out there afterward. I cave cause that's what I always do, so after guitar I drive him and his two friends back out there. I decide to go shopping. First I head to Marshall's and have a cart of useless shit I don't need. I talk myself out of the useless hand soaps and socks that my kids will just blow holes in and leave the store empty handed. I head to Target next! Why is it we all claim the same thing when we go to Target. We go in for one thing and walk out with 100 dollar charge. On the few occasions that I don't hit the 100 dollar mark I get cash back to equal 100 since hubby expects it anyway. I stop at McDonald's to pick up some dollar menu items for Blake and his friends. I get to the paintball place for the forth time today with the McDonald's and the boys tell me they want to stay for another round. I don't mind that much since the guys that run this place are definite eye candy. I did just watch "How Stella got her grove back". Though I would never be that 40 year old that gets naked with a 20 year old a girl can fantasize. I am married, I just have an overactive imagination, I love hubby and he reads this, he knows how I think! We laugh about it, I don't think just because you are married you should stop noticing attractive people. Though sometimes he acts like he gets a little jealous when I say things like this, he knows me better than anyone. Bottom line is he knows damn well I would not be caught dead with a 20 year old so this eases his mind when I rant about this kind of stuff. The boys finally finish up and we get all the way home and Blake's friend forgot his gun at the place! We are now in a panic since these guns are over 100 dollars. We turn the car around and yes I'm heading back for a fifth time. When we get back there they have the gun, thank God for honest people. On the road again is playing in my head over and over! Like I have said before nothing is a hop, skip, or jump away from my house. I'm feeling like an unpaid chauffer today. My day of mindless TV hasn't worked out so well. I hope that when Blake is at an appropriate age to read this he buys me something fabulous. My family walked in the MS walk for me today and once I figure out how to get the pictures on the blog I will do a post. I do want to thank them since between my sister and my dad they raised over 2000 dollars. Today's day was spent driving one of these people I live with and his friends around.

GET OUT OF MY CAR

These are what I like to think of as the "money shots" of Ella. I could not post them until Ella's birthday invites went out. This was one that was being considered. Gosh I miss this baby so much. I was planning on flying to Chicago for her first birthday. My little guys are doing hip hop and the show they have been working on for six months is the same day as her party! I was really looking forward to a weekend away from these people I live with.

This was one of my favorites and I also think it was in the running for the invite! I love when she makes that serious face. I think it should be a tradition for her to come see Aunt Kerry every bluebonnet season.

This was the winner. Kelly made the most beautiful invite with this picture.

Looks sweet, doesn't he???? This kid has more passion then any of my children. The problem is he has that same passion when he is arguing with me. When Cole plays football, basketball, and soccer you can see his passion for the sport. I have even had coaches and parents come up and commit on it. So this is not a case of "I see something no one else does in my child". I'm sure I am guilty of this sometime in the past few years but not in this case. He is also a realist as my Dad likes to call him. He on a few occasions has brought my youngest to tears when he says things like "Everyone dies someday so you better get used to the idea". He is my most honest child who tells it like it is a little to much. He will be the first one to tell me if I'm having an off day. He also told my sister her eyes didn't look right when she didn't have her makeup on. He has gotten into a really bad habit of telling me if he thinks someone looks to "healthy", I don't know where he even picked up the word "healthy". When I try to reason with him he just doesn't seem to get it. I will tell him he can't say things like this and he'll reply with something like "but they are". Missing my point 100 percent. He sounds like a real asshole I know. This is also the same kid that will stick up for his friends with the same passion. He always includes the kid who doesn't have as many friends in a football game. His teachers give him rave reviews and always tell me things like he is the happiest child. So as many bad habits as he has he has many more good ones that have helped save his little ass. Cole was at a birthday party at blazer tag today. I was picking him and his two friends up to take home. There is no where close to our house to have a kids party so us parents usually will try to carpool for this stuff. If anyone out there wants to open a business a kids birthday party place in the Dripping Springs area would make a fortune. On the way home Cole is trying to show off in front of his friends and is acting obnoxious. I have to correct him several times. I hate to do this since I remember being mortified as a kid when my parents would do this. Sometimes with this one he just gives me no other option but to correct him. When we get to the second kids house the Dad comes out and Cole invites himself to stay. This is another big "No, No" of mine. The Dad tells him sorry they have plans. Cole is like well I can go with you. I am utterly embarrassed at this point. I say "Cole, he said they have plans, let it go". He starts to complain right in front of them. I tell him get in the car. I can feel that burning sensation inside me as I get in the car. We get in the car and I lose it. I hate being pushed to that point, but I'm there. I tell him when an adult tells you NO you don't argue with them. At this point he is crying like a two year old having a hissy fit. I'm telling him things like you are nine years old, you can't act this way. I'm also telling him I will not put up with him talking back to me. He tells me I am the worst person he knows and he wants to move away from me. This makes my blood pressure go through the roof. I pull over the car (we are in our neighborhood) and I tell him to get out of the car. I'm not proud of this at all. Now I'm acting just as bad as he is. Forget the no text while driving in my case it's safer than driving with Cole. I am not texting while driving anymore after watching Oprah's show on it. I have not signed her pledge because it seems when I do things like that I will mess up for sure. If I don't I have a better chance at success. Sounds crazy I know I may need therapy. Speaking of therapy if I was near a therapist office when all this was going on I would have been tempted to drop his ass off on the doorstep with a note that would have read "please return when fixed". Anyway back to the story. After I pull over to kick him out of the car this changes his tune real quick. He is now sorry, and I am now feeling like someone is sitting on my chest from the anxiety. I'm trying to breath deep to calm down. We get home and hubby walks in shortly after and I look like a cat in one of those cards with the eyes bulging out and the hair standing straight up! I tell him what happens and he calls Cole into the bedroom. This kid immediately starts crying before hubby even opens his mouth. This kind of burns my ass since my head has to be spinning with green shit flying out of my mouth before I get this reaction. REALLY??????.... all he does is have to call his name and he folds! None of the, your the worst Dad ever, I hate you, and I'm moving as far away from you as I can! I want this kids first million since he will be something "BIG" with this kind of passion. The first thing I'm going to buy is a convertible sports car and drive by myself with the top down blasting music and letting what hair I have left blowing in the wind. Tonight as I write this blog entry he is upstairs vacuuming and cleaning trying to make me happy. Today was one of those days when certain people I live with caused my ugly side to surface! Judge away people, I would be the first person to judge if I heard a story like this. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day. Mothers Day is next Sunday and I want something big.

Photo shoots and closet cleaning

I did another photo shoot with another great family. These are the Whipple's. Todd and Laura are both Chiropractors in the Austin area. I have been swearing for months that I'm going to go see them since their practice is also a wellness center. It would be great to see them since I have MS. The bad part of me that believes "ignorance is bliss" and I chose to ignore the MS. I know sometime soon I'm going to have to face this head on but I'm not there yet. They are super laid back so they were so much fun to take pictures of.

Here is Todd! Yes he is handsome as ever! The funny thing is I posted about half the shots on FB so they could have a sneak peek. I got more E-mails about who is this guy! I had someone come up to me in pick up at the kids school and ask who he was. I even had someone ask me if he was in the soaps! His wife is just as beautiful as him. It cracks me up because sometimes I feel like the only desperate housewife out there! I love you hubby, btw! Now I know at a certain age we all have a little desperate housewife in us. I still hold the candle since I check out the recon recycling guys every Wednesday.

These are the girls next door! They were moving back to California since their Dad who is in the Navy is off the boat he's been on for the last nine months. Their grandparents live next to us and they have stayed there with their Mom while their Dad was on the boat. We have gotten really attached to them. I hate to see them go for many reasons. Aidan had his first kiss from one of them. I got pretty tight with their Mom while they were here. We are going to miss them like crazy. Many tears were shed last night saying goodbye.

I woke up Friday morning and decided to get another thing done off my shit list. I'm going to tackle my closet today which has haunted me for months. This blog has been great for me as far as guilting me into getting shit done. This closet reminds me of the "monster" in lost. When I walk past it I swear it has that smoke coming from it! I start out by taking everything out of it and putting into my bedroom. Wow, my bedroom is now full of shit. I decide as I'm putting the clothes back in the closet I will turn the hangers backwards that way in six months everything that is still backwards I will get rid of. I learned this little trick on an episode of hoarders. As I'm cleaning this closet out I have many "Ahhh Haaaa" moments as Oprah would say. I realize I may be a minni hoarder, I blame my Mom 100 percent! The deference between my Mom and me is she is an organized hoarder and I am not. I also realize I may need to go on an episode of "What not to wear". I try to part with things I'm not ever going to get my ass in again, but it is hard. At one point I think "why the hell did I start this project", I'm feeling totally overwhelmed by all the shit on my bed. Then as I'm putting stuff away I come across stuff that I forgot about, I'm thinking "oh that's cute I forgot I had those pants". Hubby who was at home depot comes in walks in the bedroom and say's WTF! I tell him I'm cleaning the closet. He is worried because I have a bad habit of starting things I don't finish. So I continue deciding what stays and what goes and I decide anything I owned in the 90's needs to go. I don't care how cute it is we are in 2010 for God sakes! I also decide that ANYTHING that has the word "RAMPAGE" on it has to go too! I'm not a spring chicken and never will be so get rid of the HS like clothes! As I'm going through the closet I come across an Easter card I bought for my niece and never sent, I suck 100 percent. I did finish the closet, now I have a pile of 90's clothes and Rampage shit in the corner of my room if anyone is interested. Anyway always fun with the people I live with!
